Let me tell you honestly. I think movie-watching is really a lousy and boring activity to do for a date. After a few dates with different men watching different movies, my mood has always dampened after a show. There's no interaction at all during a show when interaction is the most important element in a relationship during dating.
I wonder who came up with the idea of watching movies during a date. I would rather be in the outdoor spaces where a couple can walk around and talk to each other or visit interesting places or do interesting activities.
I am based in Singapore, so I can only give you places that I know in Singapore. I hope similar places are found in your countries and you can try it.

The Singapore River becomes a mesmerising place when night comes. There is a Central shopping centre with many restaurants and fashion shops; there's a famous JUMBO Seafood restaurant nearby; and there are many pubs along the river.
After a dinner, you can get down to the pubs to chill out or just simply walk along the river and have an intimate talk with your date.
NUMBER #3 : The Singapore Flyer

The two of you can book a cubicle and have an exclusive space all to yourself for a while and enjoy the romantic panoramic view at the same time. Take the opportunities to take lots of pictures together and have lots of laughter.
NUMBER #4 : Art Science Museum

If you want to learn something and want a more relaxing activity with your date, Art Science Museum is definitely one place to consider. It is located in Marina Bay Sands which is very accessible from many shopping malls around. If budget is not problem, both of you can have your dinner at Marina Bay Sands Shoppes where many restaurants are opened by world-renowned celebrity chefs. If you want something more affordable, after a dinner at any nearby shopping mall, you can easily walk down to this museum and spend the last one or two hours together.
NUMBER #5 : The Esplanade
